Palian
has an enviable reputation for accomplishing a wide range of successful projects
for blue-chip companies, including the following:
UTI ADIDAS INSTALATION
Palian Cape has just completed a new 9500 Pallet position warehouse using their
patented Racklock™ Racking system. The installation is the biggest of its kind
to date, using this unique product.
Adidas, utilising Uti’s distribution expertise, outgrew their existing facility
in addition to readying themselves for the 2010 Soccer World Cup event. Timing,
quality and price were crucial, especially in the current economic climate,
which suited the Racklock™ system, manufactured by Palian… perfectly.
All contractors worked together very successfully, to ensure the 13 meters high
Racking System was installed ahead of schedule, to very tight tolerances.
Tolerances that were not only demanded by the Very Narrow Aisle design, but that
Palian insists on. Picking from the systems is done via a “Man up Turret Truck”
operating in aisles of only 1600mm, thus reducing the footprint of the entire
operation drastically.
Racklock™ racking is the latest in a range of innovative products from PALIAN
(PTY) LTD that eliminates the need to have welded connectors onto Horizontal
support beams, whilst actually increasing the strength of the system. Deflection
is greatly reduced under load and tolerances guaranteed due to the automated
process of manufacture. All factors that is crucial for most installations, but
especially on this specialized application.

A multi-million Rand revamp of warehouse racking and shelving.

A long term multi-million contract to continuously supply pallet racking for
warehouses and unique assembly line parts distribution systems.
FORD MOTOR CORPORATION
3,000 pallet positions installed for their direct supply warehouse servicing the
assembly lines. The static pallet racking was fitted with thousands of special
steel decks to store the vast range of parts needed for the assembly.
EXEL
Third party logistics that included over 5,000 pallet positions on both live
storage, ensuring first-in first-out of their fast moving items, and static
racking.
SOUTH AFRICAN CONTAINER DEPOT
Over 4,000 pallets stored on drive-in and static systems.
